Poole Harbour, the “Old Town” & Poole Quay make a great base for any sailing holiday or expedition, set in a designated “Area of outstanding beauty” Great swimming off Blue flag beaches, we also mark the most modern end of the World heritage Jurassic coast making the topography we sail alongside unique.

Poole Harbour entrance with the chain ferry bisecting Sandbanks & Shell Bay beaches offers many secluded anchorages and 7 marinas. Easy to spend a week without venturing past the Harbour entrance. However as a starting point for a charter on the Uk’s South & South West coast there is perfect opportunity for proper coastal passages.

18 nautical miles to the east of Poole lies the Needles and the Solent. Here, you’ll find numerous ports, harbours and anchorages – all within a short hop of Cowes, Lymington, Yarmouth, Portsmouth and Chichester Harbour. Heading west from Poole, you can unearth the Jurassic Coast for the next 100 miles. Consisting of Old Harry Rocks, Swanage, Lulworth, Weymouth and Portland Bill, it’s a great place to go sailing with a cozy berth at the other end.

THE COMPANY & CHARTER

With the premise that sailing should be both safe & fun for all on board (most of the time anyway!) we acknowledge every sailor will have their own way of doing things, their own plans & wishes for a weekend, a week or longer on board. We hope to provide suitable yachts at a reasonable price that are well equipped, comfortable & clean with local knowledge available if wanted.

Whether for a bash down to Weymouth and back over a weekend or a laid back and magical family cruise to Lymington & Yarmouth then onto maybe Cowes or Bembridge and a few days exploring the Isle of Wight. The choice is for skipper & crew.

We like to offer a flexible approach with 1-way charters, assisted passages or where a refresher or familiarisation is helpful to build confidence a skipper/instructor can be booked for a comfortable “no pressure” beginning to your visit.

Details of required qualifications (UK or International included) can be found in “Charter Info” together with the charter agreement. We like this to start & finish with a handshake; with required the paperwork present as a backup.
